This section contains tools and services developed by the DARIAH-GR/DYAS partners in the context of "APOLLONIS: National Infrastructure for Digital Humanities and Arts and Sciences for Linguistic Research and Innovation" and other projects. It includes research tools (registries, thesauri, vocabularies) and information systems to be used by arts and humanities researchers and cultural data collections professionals (archivists, librarians, museum curators, etc.).
This tool is developed and supported by the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens.
The iEnrich enricher allows the enrichment of texts by detecting their association with a given set of tags of a thematic category. Its operation is based on machine learning models which are pre-trained for specific subject categories. The enricher is available in the form of a REST service, which accepts as input the textual content, […]

The iClassify classifier allows text to be classified into a given set of tags of a thematic category. Its operation is based on pre-trained machine learning models. The enricher is available in the form of a REST service, which accepts as input the textual content and a set of terms of a thematic category, and […]
The Semantic Network Απολλωνίς application brings together in one platform the set of services in order to facilitate the integrated production, enrichment and publication of RDF datasets. Through the appropriate user interfaces, the data is imported by executing D2RML files, and is enriched by executing one or more notifiers on specific fields of the data. […]

The thesaurus-based reference annotator inKnowledge allows textual data annotation with terms of a specific SKOS dictionary. The annotator locates the occurrences of the specific dictionary terms in a text and produces the relevant annotations. Its operation makes use of efficient direct search techniques for textual terms in texts. Depending on the language of the text […]

The CQSpace query space builder, given a knowledge base, i.e. an ontology, and a set of instances of the ontology, computes all possible conjunctive tree queries that can be formulated in terms of the ontology and have answers within that given knowledge base. The queries that are constructed are structured in a graph that allows […]
The 3M editor is a web application to create and edit X3ML-based mapping definitions. 3M is a system for managing mapping files. The main features of the 3M editor are: – Ability to match source and accumulator schemas – Mapping based on ontology logic – Ability to comment and justify – Saving the mapping – […]
ICCS_04 InPlace Service It is supported by the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA)
The georeference annotator allows metadata fields bearing geospatial designations to be annotated based on the vocabulary provided by the Geonames knowledge base. In order to produce better results, the annotator uses the hierarchical structure of the geographical areas provided by Geonames based on the administrative regions of each country, so that the more general geographical […]
ICCS_01 D2RML Processor Service 2018 It is supported by the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA).
The D2RML editor is a software package that processes D2RML files and produces RDF datasets. Each D2RML file is a specification of how to retrieve data from one or more sources, and a set of rules for mapping that data into RDF triples. The D2RML editor is available as a REST service, where the user […]
ICCS_02 TimeLine Ontology & Vocabulary 2018 It is supported by the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA)
The TimeLine vocabulary and ontology were constructed to provide terms that represent periods of time based on the usual calendar measurement of time (such as days, months, years, etc.). These terms are useful for semantically annotating data and metadata that carry calendar timestamps. The terms are classified under the respective hierarchies so that it is […]
ICCS_03 InTime Service 2018
It is supported by the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA)
The time reference annotator allows annotating metadata fields that have calendar time characteristics based on the standard calendar time measurement using the terms of the TimeLine vocabulary. The annotator is provided as a REST service, which accepts as input the relevant text fields and returns a set of terms found in TimeLine vocabulary. InTime implements […]
