TimeLine Ontology and Vocabulary
ICCS_02 TimeLine Ontology & Vocabulary 2018
It is supported by the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA)
The TimeLine vocabulary and ontology were constructed to provide terms that represent periods of time based on the usual calendar measurement of time (such as days, months, years, etc.). These terms are useful for semantically annotating data and metadata that carry calendar timestamps. The terms are classified under the respective hierarchies so that it is possible to go through the time periods hierarchically.
TimeLine provides an OWL-Time based vocabulary for describing conventional time period measures (e.g. millennia, centuries, decades, years, months, days). It also defines a resource scheme for representing concrete periods.
