ICCS_04 InPlace Service It is supported by the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA)
The georeference annotator allows metadata fields bearing geospatial designations to be annotated based on the vocabulary provided by the Geonames knowledge base. In order to produce better results, the annotator uses the hierarchical structure of the geographical areas provided by Geonames based on the administrative regions of each country, so that the more general geographical […]
ICCS_01 D2RML Processor Service 2018 It is supported by the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA).
The D2RML editor is a software package that processes D2RML files and produces RDF datasets. Each D2RML file is a specification of how to retrieve data from one or more sources, and a set of rules for mapping that data into RDF triples. ICCS_02 TimeLine Ontology & Vocabulary 2018 It is supported by the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA)
The TimeLine vocabulary and ontology were constructed to provide terms that represent periods of time based on the usual calendar measurement of time (such as days, months, years, etc.). These terms are useful for semantically annotating data and metadata that carry calendar timestamps. The terms are classified under the respective hierarchies so that it is […]
ICCS_03 InTime Service 2018
It is supported by the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA)
The time reference annotator allows annotating metadata fields that have calendar time characteristics based on the standard calendar time measurement using the terms of the TimeLine vocabulary. The annotator is provided as a REST service, which accepts as input the relevant text fields and returns a set of terms found in TimeLine vocabulary. InTime implements […]
The registry was created and is supported by the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA).
The study and development of the software registry of services related both to the collection of metadata in an interoperable way, and to the semantic search and response to users’ questions, were produced in the context of the “DARIAH-ATTIKI National Digital Infrastructure for Research in the Arts and Humanities DYAS” project. This project included the […]
